About Ami

Ami graduated from Chicago School of Massage Therapy ( now Cortiva Institute) in 1986.

She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, ranging from Doctor and Chiropractor offices through traditional massage clinic, health club, and now in private practice.

This variety of settings contributes to her ability to treat a wide range of clientele in a way that best suits their needs. Ami is comfortable working with all ages, having treated infants through seniors, including physically handicapped clients.

Ami is an advanced therapist in John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy (MFR), specializing in this therapy for over 12 years.

She also teaches an introductory course in MFR at Elgin Community College's Therapeutic Massage Program.

Ami has extensive training in other manual therapy techniques and uses this and her years of clinical experience in many different settings to create a comprehensive treatment philosophy, which addresses the body as a whole and uses the most relevant techniques for each client.
